What are the admission requirements?

For AY 2027-2028, prepare your Grade 11 report card and Certificate of Good Moral Character. Graduating SHS students and SHS graduates who have not enrolled in college may apply. Submit through the NEUST Admission Portal from September 3 to November 30, 2026. Alternative academic documents require OAR verification.

Contact Talavera OAR for the current transfer application process, required credentials, available program slots and credit evaluation. The AY 2027-2028 freshman CAT announcement applies to SHS applicants who have not enrolled in college.

What is NEUST-CAT?

NEUST-CAT is the College Admission Test. An examination permit is issued after document verification and qualification. Applying or passing does not guarantee admission; program capacity and other admission criteria still apply.

What is the required GWA for board programs at NEUST?

For AY 2027-2028, board/licensure programs require a minimum Grade 11 GWA of 85% for admission consideration. This does not guarantee admission.

Can I be admitted to NEUST with a GWA lower than 85%?

The 85% Grade 11 GWA minimum in the AY 2027-2028 announcement applies to board/licensure programs. Ask Talavera OAR about eligibility for your intended non-board program.

When can Talavera applicants apply for NEUST-CAT for AY 2027-2028?

For AY 2027-2028, CAT applications run from September 3 to November 30, 2026. Your examination schedule and college enrollment dates are separate. Monitor your admission account and registered email.

How do I apply for NEUST-CAT as a Talavera applicant?

1. Create an account at the NEUST Admission Portal.
2. Complete the application and upload the required documents.
3. Review and submit during the announced application period.
4. Check your email and admission account for verification results, examination schedule and permit.

Can I apply if my Grade 11 report card is not yet available?

Prescribed alternative academic documents may be accepted, subject to OAR verification. Ask Talavera OAR which document is acceptable before uploading a substitute for your Grade 11 report card.

Who may apply for the AY 2027-2028 NEUST-CAT?

Graduating SHS students, or SHS graduates who have not enrolled in any college or university, may apply. Applicants must be willing to take the CAT and meet the applicable requirements.

Does passing the CAT guarantee admission?

No. Admission remains subject to document verification, qualification, program capacity and other approved criteria. Meeting the required GWA or passing the CAT does not by itself guarantee a place.

Requests submitted on Saturday or Sunday enter processing on Monday during office hours, subject to the queue and announced holidays or suspensions. Requests submitted after office hours are reviewed on the next working day. Processing estimates begin when the Registrar accepts complete requirements, not when the online request is submitted.
